GeoClinicalTrials stores nothing about your searches. This page sets out what the service does record, why, with whom, and for how long.

Who runs the service

GeoClinicalTrials is published and operated by Association CanSpera, Rue du Commerce 4, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland. For any question about your data: contact@geoclinicaltrials.ch.

When you search for a trial

  • Your answers (condition, stage, biomarkers, treatments, country…) are used to compute the results. They are not recorded in our database, nor written to the server logs.
  • If you tick “AI analysis”, your answers and any free text you enter are sent to Anthropic (United States), which provides the Claude model, to rank the trials found and write you a short summary. Without that box, your search is not sent to it. Don't include your name or anything that identifies you in the free text.
  • Trial records are also sent to Anthropic for translation, simplified versions and summaries: they contain no data about you.

Your account

  • An account stores your email address, your password in hashed form (Argon2id, never in clear text), your role, its status and its dates. It is kept for as long as it exists: write to us to have it deleted.
  • To enforce usage limits, the service counts, each day and per account, how many translations, simplified versions, AI analyses of searches and summaries were requested. Only these numbers are kept.
  • Sensitive actions (role changes, creating or cancelling a recommendation, reviewing criteria) are recorded in an audit log, without any recipient address.

Recommendations by a doctor

When a doctor recommends a trial, the message opens in their own mailbox: no recipient is asked for or recorded on our side. Their professional profile (name, title, institution) stays attached to their account.

Contact form

Your message, name and address are sent by email to the team, through Infomaniak's mail relay. Nothing is recorded on the site; the server log only notes the profile you chose and whether sending succeeded.

Server logs

  • Nothing about your searches is stored: neither your answers nor the text you enter.
  • Your IP address is used to limit the number of requests. It is kept in memory only, for at most 24 hours, and forgotten whenever the server restarts.

Service providers

  • Anthropic: the artificial intelligence model (see above).
  • Infomaniak: sending the contact form's messages.
  • ClinicalTrials.gov: the site reads trials from it; it sends nothing about you.
  • No audience measurement, no advertising, no resources loaded from another site: fonts and images are served by GeoClinicalTrials.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by writing to contact@geoclinicaltrials.ch.
