About

GeoClinicalTrials, run by the CanSpera association in Geneva, is a free, independent tool to find, understand and share an oncology clinical trial.

Why this tool

There are tens of thousands of cancer clinical trials. They are described on ClinicalTrials.gov, in English and in technical language, with long and precise eligibility criteria. Finding the ones that are open near you, and that fit your situation, takes time and knowledge that few patients have.

GeoClinicalTrials does that first sort, and makes it readable for patients and their doctors alike.

What GeoClinicalTrials does

  • Every night, it imports the oncology trials published on ClinicalTrials.gov, with their recruitment status.
  • It ranks them according to your answers: condition, stage, biomarkers, treatments already received, country.
  • It explains why a trial matches, or what to check with your doctor, and sets aside the trials your answers rule out.
  • It can show the trial record in French as well as English, in a simplified or full version.
  • It lets doctors recommend a trial to a patient, with a summary they review, then send from their own mailbox.

Our principles

  • Neutral: the order of the results depends only on your criteria. No funding can push a trial up, or hide one.
  • Independent and free, for patients and doctors alike.
  • Careful: results are for guidance. They help prepare a conversation with the care team, never replace it.
